Funding Your Case

We recognise the importance of dealing with the issue of funding at the very outset of the claim, in order to provide you with peace-of-mind. There are several funding options available, including the following:-

Public Funding
This is available for clinical negligence claims but not generally for personal injury claims. In order to be eligible for Public Funding, you must satisfy the Legal Services Commission Means Test and Merits Test. We will discuss these tests with you when considering availability of Public Funding.

No win no fee
Under a no win no fee agreement (otherwise known as a Conditional Fee Agreement), we will not charge you for our fees in the event that you do not succeed in your claim.

Legal Expenses Insurance
You may have specific legal expenses cover within an existing insurance policy, such as your home insurance (buildings or contents). If you do have legal expenses insurance then you should notify your insurer in order to register your claim with them. You should attend to this as soon as possible because frequently there will be a clause within the insurance policy that claims must be notified within a standard period.

Private Retainer

Under this arrangement, you pay us according to the experience of the legal representative handling your case and the time spent dealing with your claim. Under this arrangement we will send you regular interim bills in order to spread the cost of your claim.
